Introducing CMWL’s Weight Loss Talk Podcast
Tarrytown, NY (PRWEB) November 29, 2016 -- The Center for Medical Weight Loss (CMWL) has launched a new podcast series called “CMWL Weight Loss Talk” in efforts to drive increased awareness of its provider-driven, clinically-proven approach to losing weight and keeping it off. The series is hosted by CMWL’s Medical Director, Dr. Matthew Pinto, who delivers the CMWL program in his Marlton, NJ-based practice.
According to recent data published by Edison Research, podcasts are quickly becoming a popular source of information, with more than 1 in 5 Americans tuning in each month. CMWL believes podcast listenership will continue to grow and plans to leverage the trend.
Each month the CMWL podcast series will focus on common weight loss topics, like nutrition and exercise. The difference from other weight loss podcasts is that it will cover them from a non-surgical medical approach.
For instance, in its debut “Why You Should Know Your Body Composition” episode, Dr. Pinto talks about why body weight alone provides only a fraction of the critical information someone needs to successfully lose weight. He discusses why knowing fat, muscle, and water percentage data better informs medical providers in creating personalized plans for their patients that lead to long-term weight loss.
“I think the podcast will be very helpful in getting our message to break through,” said Dr. Pinto. “I can talk to the general public just as I would to my patients about what they can expect from a medical weight loss program. It’s a very accessible format.”
In addition to helping the public better understand medical weight loss, providers in the CMWL network can leverage the Weight Loss Talk podcast to reach people in their communities to emphasize the importance of annual weight screenings and treatment for those at risk. It serves as an effective national complement to any local marketing efforts to attract new weight loss patients and provides motivation for existing CMWL weight loss patients to stay focused on achieving and maintaining a healthy weight.
“With 36% of American adults suffering from obesity, the more awareness we can drive the better,” said Dr. Pinto. “In addition to providing information, another important goal of our podcast is to let anyone who is suffering know that they should continue to have hope. That is essential to achieving weight loss goals.”
CMWL’s “Weight Loss Talk” podcast is available on CMWL.com and iTunes.
