Introducing Deep Vision Data - Synthetic Data Sets for Machine Learning
CINCINNATI (PRWEB) March 28, 2018 -- Kinetic Vision, a 140-person technology company in Cincinnati, Ohio is excited to announce the formation Deep Vision Data, of a new division specifically focused on the creation of synthetic data sets for training machine learning systems.
So what is machine learning? Machine Learning is a branch of computer science that creates systems that are able to "learn" and perform tasks they were not specifically programmed to do. Email spam filtering, self-driving cars, image/speech recognition and language translation are well-known implementations of a type of machine learning called deep neural networks. Neural networks mimic the human brain in that they consist of thousands or millions of nodes (neurons) that respond to controlled inputs (training data). During the training process the neural network attempts to minimize its "mistakes" until it achieves the desired level of accuracy. Often thousands or millions of examples are required to train a deep neural network.
Finding enough physical data or images to train a neural network is often difficult. Finding cat photos on the internet is easy, but what if you're designing a new product or process? Deep Vision Data solves this problem by creating artificial or "synthetic" images and data that allow for the exploration of new machine learning applications without physical test data or photographs. This opens the door to an unlimited number of new applications of this exciting technology.
In the next ten years, machine learning is predicted by many to be as globally impactful as the internet, mobile devices and social media. Deep Vision Data is excited to be playing an important role in this revolution, as our synthetic training data will be powering many of the machine learning applications of the future.
