InventHelp, founded in 1984 in Pittsburgh, is attempting to submit this idea, the Car Multi Phone Charger, to applicable companies for their consideration.

An inventor from Itasca, Ill., provides ride-share vice, and a passenger asked if he had a cord with which to charge his cell phone. "I didn’t have one, so I decided that there should be a convenient way to add such a convenience to my services," the inventor said. "Over the last 17 months thousands have expressed appreciation for this idea and have said that every ride-share and cab/taxi should adopt the idea."

In order to meet this need, he created the patent-pending CAR MULTI PHONE CHARGER, which allows for easy charging of mobile phones and other electronic devices for patrons of ride-share vices. It prevents the hassle of dead batteries and lack of communication. As result, it enhances drivers’ quality of service, which may boost patronage. Compact, versatile and easy to use, it's ideal for professional ride-share drivers and cab/taxi companies. However, it also benefits drivers in general.

"For more than 18 months I have been using/testing my CAR MULTI PHONE CHARGER and never had any electrical problems," the inventor added.

The original design was submitted to the Chicago office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
