InventHelp® Client Patents “Carbo-Keeper” – Invention Maintains Carbonation in Soda Bottles
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) January 20, 2016 -- InventHelp®, a leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from California, has designed a soda bottle that could help to retain carbonation in the bottle after each serving is poured. This invention is patented.
“Carbo-Keeper” bottle would feature a ball valve-style cap that would seal tightly, as well as a plastic liner that the user would push upward from the bottom to reduce air space in the container. This design could reduce product waste, eliminating the need to throw out soda that has gone flat. The design also allows a user to more quickly and easily open and close the bottle, as well as determine if the bottle is opened or closed.
Carbo-Keeper would consist of a bottle modified to include a ball valve-style cap and a plastic liner. The cap would feature a dust shield, a T-shaped handle and a threaded base. The handle would be mounted to the side of the cap and feature a stop. The handle would connect to dual, one-way spring-loaded locking elbows located outside the cap. The bottle would contain a clear plastic liner. The interior wall of the bottle would feature three evenly spaced strips covered in small notches. The bottom rim of the container would also feature a thicker lip to keep the diaphragm from coming out, which would eliminate manipulating and tampering in stores. The movable diaphragm disc would incorporate three ratchet slots with three flat tabs (angled downward) and space to the side of each tab around the perimeter. The diaphragm could be turned ever so slightly to move the ratchet-tabs out of line with the ratchet lines in order to lower the diaphragm for any reason such as re-filling. A user would pivot the handle 90 degrees counter clockwise to an upright position to open the bottle. After serving a beverage, the user would push upward on the diaphragm, which would reduce the size of the bag and the air space in the bottle. The ratchet tabs would keep the diaphragm in place. The form fitting slip disc would sit loosely on the diaphragm preventing a pressurized bag and contents from bulging down through the small ratchet line gaps in the diaphragm. The individual would close the cap by returning the cap handle clockwise to a horizontal position. Carbo-Keeper could be producible in one-liter, two-liter and larger and smaller sizes.
