InventHelp® Client Patents “Joysteer” - Invention Could Improve Ride-On Lawn Mower Safety
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) March 18, 2015 -- InventHelp, a leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Florida, has designed a modified steering system that could provide better control over a ride-on lawn mower. This invention is patented.
The “Joysteer” system could ensure that there would be nothing in front of the operator to trap him or her from dismounting from the machine in the event of a rollover. The design would enable the rider to control the mower with his or her wrists and hands, as opposed to his or her arms. The invention would be easier to use than conventional zero-turn mower controls. Designed to enhance safety, Joysteer could lessen stress, strain and fatigue, especially for lawn-care professionals.
Joysteer steering system for a zero-turn mower would consist of two joysticks. The joysticks would be 6 inches tall and 1-1/2 inches in diameter and comprised of metal, plastic and foam padding. One joystick would be located on the end of the right armrest and would control the flow of hydraulic oil from the right hydrostatic pump to the right drive wheel motor. The other joystick, which would be located on the other end of the left armrest, would control the flow of hydraulic oil from the left hydrostatic pump to the left drive wheel motor. Movement of the right joystick forward would cause the right drive wheel to rotate in a forward direction. Movement of the left joystick forward would cause the left drive wheel to rotate in a forward direction. Pulling the joysticks back from the neutral position would cause the respective drive wheels to rotate in a reverse direction. Together, the joysticks would move a zero-turn lawn mower similar to the motion-control levers or arm bars. The joysticks could be produced in different sizes and shapes, as well as modified with a PTO switch and other controls.
InventHelp is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor. For more information, telephone Dept. 11-TPA-1700 at (800) 851-6030.
