InventHelp Inventor Develops Appliance Accessory (CTO-275)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) December 17, 2013 -- When you are caring for young children, daycares, elderly individuals with memory problems, or other individuals who have special needs, you know how fearful you become when they are out of sight.
They might be getting into trouble, and that could be dangerous for everyone in the house, especially if they're playing with a gas range. To provide added peace of mind, an inventor from Hamden, Conn., developed the patent-pending Bee Safe Alarmed Appliance Protection.
The device prevents unauthorized individuals from turning on various appliances. The invention immediately alerts the parent/caregiver if someone tries to turn on the appliance. The accessory reduces the risk of fires, which is designed to enhance household safety. In addition, the unit is usable with most any appliance, including stoves, ovens, washers, dryers, dishwashers, etc., and it blends in with the appliance's design.
The inventor's personal experience inspired her idea. "I was the caregiver for my father-in-law," she said. "He became forgetful and turned the knobs on the stove and forget to turn them off. The same thing happened with my friend who has a child with special needs. To keep everyone safe, I invented this device."
The original design was submitted to the Connecticut office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
