InventHelp Inventor Develops Carbon Monoxide Detector for Vehicles
PITTSBURGH, Pa. (PRWEB) December 11, 2017 -- Carbon monoxide is an odorless, colorless gas that causes drowsiness and tragically, death, when an individual is exposed to it for an extended period of time. Carbon monoxide can leak into the interior a vehicle through an exhaust system that is rusted, damaged or stopped-up, which can ultimately lead to tragedy.
A police officer from Highland, N.Y., has invented the patent-pending CARDIAN ANGEL, a portable carbon monoxide (CO) detector for motor vehicle interiors that also includes a multipurpose tool to assist individuals in emergency situations. "I invented this device to save lives," said the inventor. "I am a police officer and have experienced and read about several scenarios where my invention would have been effective in saving lives." CARDIAN ANGEL detects dangerous levels of carbon monoxide gas from the exhaust system and alerts the passengers, enabling them to react quick enough to avoid CO poisoning, dozing and possible death. This invention provides motorists with peace of mind that they will be alerted in the case of a carbon monoxide leak and makes driving more pleasurable for safety conscious individuals. "We’re offered protection of life-saving carbon-monoxide detectors in our homes and RVs," the inventor added, "so why not in our vehicles, where most Americans spend a great deal of their time and are most at risk?"
It also can be used anytime emergency access is needed into a vehicle. For example, this invention would be beneficial following a car accident, if a baby was spotted in a hot vehicle, or if a car were to catch on fire and the motorist needed a way to escape. It is practical, easy to use and could help to save lives.
