InventHelp Inventor Develops Improved Electrical Outlet (JMC-1679)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) August 25, 2015 -- "I am a commercial property manager, and I was looking for ways to reduce electrical expenses," said an inventor from Billings, Mont. "Tenants had a hard time figuring out if the devices plugged into outlets were drawing power. That inspired me to create this handy electrical outlet."
He developed the patented Duplex Outlet With Current Indicator to clearly indicate if a plugged-in device is drawing power. It is designed to prevent parasitic loads or phantom electrical use. The invention enables users to know to unplug devices that are turned off but still drawing power, from the outlet. All of this helps to reduce energy costs.
The redesigned outlet features a broader, flat-faced housing when compared to conventional receptacles of this nature, as well as an inductive current sensor for each outlet with an LED indicator.
The original design was submitted to the Telemarketing office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
