InventHelp Inventor Develops Medical Accessory for Incontinent Female Patients (DHM-269)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 08, 2016 -- "I have worked in health care for over 20 years," said an inventor from Murfreesboro, N.C. "We have condoms that men can wear in order to urinate, but I have never seen something similar for use by female patients. In order to correct the issue, I came up with this idea."
She developed the patent-pending FEMALE CONDOM to provide an effective way for a female patient to urinate while in a hospital bed. The device eliminates the need to insert a catheter into the patient, which prevents discomfort and pain. The unit also saves the patient from having to get up in order to walk to the restroom to urinate. Additionally, the invention avoids the need for the patient to wear disposable diapers.
The original design was submitted to the Durham office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
