InventHelp Inventors Design Garbage Can Lock (SDB-960)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) December 03, 2016 -- Two inventors, from Hesperia, Calif., thought there needed to be a quick and easy way to prevent animals from getting into garbage cans, so they invented the G-GARD ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL DEVICE.
The G-GARD ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL DEVICE provides an effective way to lock and secure a trash can lid. In doing so, it prevents a can from being opened by animals or high winds, even when the container is tipped over. As a result, it enhances convenience. The patent pending invention features a durable design that is easy to install and use so it is ideal for households and businesses. Additionally, the G-GARD ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL DEVICE is producible in design variations and a prototype is available. It is manual-locking, with automatic two-stage unlocking upon inversion. Also, there is keyed locking available with a lock plate that "freezes" the G-GARD (for extra security, not for normal use).
The inventors described the invention design. "We thought there needed to be a quick and easy way to prevent unwanted animals from opening trash-can lids and getting into the garbage cans. We wanted a rear-mounted, manual-locking device that unlocks automatically for dumping (as when inverted)."
The original design was submitted to the San Diego office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
