(PRWEB) August 06, 2013 -- Traction chains are greatly helpful when snow and ice cover the roadways, but they can be a real hassle to put on a vehicle's tires, especially when that vehicle has enormous tires, like a big-rig truck. To make the task easier, two inventors from Apple Valley, Calif., created a prototype for the Chain Lumper.
This patent pending tool provides a quick and easy way to attach traction chains to the wheels of large commercial trucks or campers. The device ensures that the chains are secured and properly aligned for traction and safety in slippery winter weather conditions. The unit minimizes delays and aggravation, and it saves time and effort. Additionally, it is producible in versions for use with passenger cars and non-commercial trucks.
The inventors' professional experience inspired their idea. "I am a veteran truck driver, and I saw a need for a better, faster way to apply snow/ice chains to tires," one inventor said. "We put our heads together and came up with this handy tool."
