Inventor Develops Aid for Securing a Washer (SAH-1228)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) June 08, 2017 -- Frustrated at how difficult it could be to secure a nut to a threaded fastener while holding a washer in position, an inventor from Napa, Calif., devised a solution.
He created a prototype for the WASHER BUDDY to provide an easier way to secure a washer in position. The design ends the need to hold the washer with one hand while trying to tighten the nut with the other hand. This greatly simplifies the installation process, especially when working overhead. All of this saves time and effort, and eliminates hassles and frustrations.
The inventor's personal experience inspired the idea. "I had difficulty keeping the washer in place around a threaded bolt while trying to screw on the nut with my free hand," he said. "I thought that there should be a better way to secure the washer in place so that I could install the nut easily."
The original design was submitted to the Sacramento office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
