Inventor Develops Seat Securement Aid for Golf Carts (ORD-2447)
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) October 19, 2017 -- "I reside in The Villages, Florida,” said the inventor of the patent-pending SEAT SUPPORT HINGE (SSH) for golf carts. “It was not until I made my own purchase that I realized that although each golf cart varied by manufacturer, they all shared one common feature or lack thereof; there was no support for the golf-cart seat keeping it in an upward position when pumping gas or servicing the golf-cart batteries. Rapidly, I found myself in a common struggle with other golf-cart owners at the gas pumps, fighting to keep our golf-cart seat up with one hand while pumping gas or checking batteries with the other. Trust me, this was more difficult than it sounds since the seat weighs in excess of 35 pounds. I saw many creative solutions golf-cart owners devised to keep their seats up: bungee cords, a second person to assist or completely unbolting the golf-cart seat and placing it on the floor of the cart until finished.”
The SSH is a metal hinge bolted to the interior of the golf-cart frame. As needed, it simply lifts and inserts into the seat framework, and within seconds the golf-cart seat is secure in an up position. With the SSH securely fastened the owner remains “hands-free” when pumping gas, no more fumbling with bungee cords, and eliminates bruised or smashed hands from a falling cart seat.
