iPatientCare Honored by IHE and HIMSS as Healthcare IT Industry Leader
Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) January 28, 2016 -- iPatientCare, a pioneer in cloud-based ambulatory EHR and Revenue Cycle Management services, was honored by IHE and HIMSS as one of the Health IT Industry Leader at IHE NA Connectathon Leadership Conference on January 27, 2016 at Cleveland, Ohio.
The healthcare marketplace lacks consistent interoperability standards that allow for connectivity among disparate EHR systems and health information exchanges (“HIEs”) in order to undertake Patient Record Lookup, that is, allowing clinicians to query an HIE for relevant data on a specific patient. The care providers, however, remain concerned about the cost and complexity of interoperability among EHRs and HIEs. HIMSS and IHE, the premier thought-leaders working at national and international level in defining such interoperability standards, understand the challenges faced by the healthcare providers and work on evolving interoperability thresholds that are higher than those defined by Meaningful Use certification.
The IHE North American Connectathon Week is a powerful industry event that unites 1,000+ health IT professionals and industry's leading organizations to partner together to advance health IT interoperability in North America. Made up of the world's largest interoperability testing event, exceptional educational and networking opportunities take HCIT industry’s interoperability strategy to the next level.
“It is a matter of pride and honor for iPatientCare investors, people, customers and partners to have received such a great recognition as one of the leaders in the industry by two of the most prestigious organizations, namely, HIMSS and IHE. We are indeed proud for successfully completing the ConCert by HIMSS as the first ambulatory EHR little before HIMSS 2015. We thank HIMSS and IHE for conferring this honor onto iPatientCare and look forward to serving healthcare providers in providing better outcomes at reduced costs, meaningfully,” said Udayan K. Mandavia, President/CEO, iPatientCare.
HIMSS 2016 is not too far. This largest US healthcare IT Show kicks-off on February 29, 2016 with great fanfare and gala receptions/events and lasts until March 4th. “We look forward to showcasing our interoperability capabilities at the HIMSS 2016 and meeting with other industry leaders, innovators, business partners and exhibitors at our booth 11935,” said Shripal Shah, Senior Technology Officer; and Shahab Shaikh, Chief Integration Officer, iPatientCare while accepting the honors at IHE NA Connectathon Leadership Conference at Cleveland, Ohio.
