iPhotonix uCPE & SD-WAN Solutions to be Included in the Amdocs NFV Ecosystem
Richardson, TX (PRWEB) September 14, 2017 -- iPhotonix is pleased to announce that its advanced universal customer premise equipment and SD-WAN technology were included in the Amdocs Network Function Virtualization (NFV) ecosystem that is powered by Open Network Automation Platform (ONAP). Amdocs’ NFV Powered by ONAP portfolio brings software that lets service providers design, create, orchestrate, and operate services that are based on virtual network functions (VNFs).

For the virtual service offering, Amdocs has created a partner ecosystem of vendors that provide more than 80 VNFs. These VNFs are easily plumbed into service provider networks, integrated with existing operational and business support systems and can be deployed either locally or in the public cloud. In addition to the uCPE and SD-WAN solutions of iPhotonix, examples of other third-party VNFs include applications related to security and IMS for VoLTE.
