IRF’s Education & Incentive Invitational at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa Hits Record Sponsorship and Attendance
McLean, VA (PRWEB) July 08, 2016 -- The Incentive Research Foundation (IRF) hosted its 23nd Annual Education & Incentive Invitational, June 1-5, 2016, at the Red Rock Casino & Resort in Nevada, overlooking the spectacular Red Rock Canyon.
In addition to a myriad of networking opportunities, the event featured direct exposure to the industry’s preeminent voices and research, along with distinctive destination experiences. Guests enjoyed an unusual opportunity to explore the “other side of Vegas” and participate in hiking at Red Rock Canyon, the Richard Petty Driving Experience, Cabana Day, and a Downtown Las Vegas Crawl.
The 2016 Education & Incentive Invitational sold out all available slots in record time—more than six weeks early. This year, attendees from incentive travel and meeting companies represented over 6,000 meetings and $1Billion in spend. These attendees were 60 percent VP level and above and represented nearly 150 different organizations. Total attendance this year was once again at maximum capacity with almost 500 sponsors, buyers, trustees, hosts, media and guests. The Incentive Invitational is the IRF’s most important annual fundraising activity for research surrounding motivation and incentives.
Luxury was also in lavish supply at the Red Rock Resort and Casino, which pays homage to the elegant mid-century modern resorts that made Las Vegas famous. Named one of the world’s best new hotels by Conde Nast Traveler, the resort features 815 rooms and 100,000 square feet of event space. The naturally-lit and fully-configurable event areas overlook a stunning vista of the resort’s three-acre pool backyard and the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area.

This year’s Education Day, with a theme of “The Other Side of Incentives,” featured:

• Uncommon Insights—panel discussions with industry leaders on Hotels, Airlines, and Incentives Buying Strategies; and
• Roundtables on Trends and Major Research—engaging with colleagues to learn how to employ latest industry trends.
The Closing Keynote was “Lessons in Leadership,” with speaker Carey Lohrenz, a former F-14 Tomcat pilot and author of “Fearless Leadership: High Performance Lessons from the Flight Deck.” She shared the fundamentals learned in the cockpit at Mach 2 and how they can help teams win in business—a high-flying conclusion to an adventurous and memorable Invitational.
The 24th Annual Incentive and Education Invitational will take place June 14 – 18, 2017, at Grand Wailea in Maui, Hawaii.
