Irie Wine Introduces New Releases and Expands Distribution
Paso Robles, CA (PRWEB) June 09, 2015 -- Irie Wine was created almost a decade ago in Paso Robles, CA. What started as a small three-barrel side project, has now expanded into a 500 case production comprised of three distinct wines and an expanding fan base.
The demand for Irie is steadily rising, as more and more consumers and retailers are looking for a brand that is fresh, unique, has a killer package and is delicious. With an objective of increasing distribution, the focus has been on boutique wine shops, restaurants and online wine clubs. In the past six months alone, Irie has expanded its distribution across California, with new retail locations in Monterey, Carmel, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and San Diego.
The next mission for the brand is to continue expanding the distribution territory to include northern California, along with creating partnerships with a few out-of-state distributors/brokers who could feed off of offering Irie in their markets. “It’s not about selling our wine on every corner,” said Winemaker/Proprietor, Justin Murphy, “it’s about getting our wine in front of the right customers and in the right locations. We have already been approached by one state in the Great Lakes region, and are looking for a couple more.”
In today’s wine industry, a brand needs to market itself on more than the cliché “quality wine”, “hand-crafted”, and “family owned” factors alone. Because face it, that can describe every wine brand in the world, including this one. Irie differentiates itself by bringing an authenticity and sincerity of the story behind the brand to each bottle. It’s inviting people to relish in the experience of drinking a good bottle of wine with family, friends, and soon-to-be-friends. This is exactly why the success of Irie has come from word-of-mouth referrals and fans of the brand sharing their favorite Irie releases with others.
“Irie is about a passion that goes beyond bold flavors and a smooth finish,” says Murphy, “it’s about drinking a wine that just feels good.”
While these wines can compete with the best and highly rated out there, they are not meant for the pretentious or snobby. “A fantastic bottle of wine can be determined by the feel-good mood it puts you in when drinking it, “ said Murphy. “It should be smooth, delicious and put a smile on your face.”
Feeling “Irie” is to be in a perfect state of mind with no worries or cares, and is a term popularly used in Reggae music. Appropriately named, the current line-up was crafted with the goal of capturing that feeling in every bottle. They incorporate the fundamental quality a wine needs to survive in today’s market along with a winemaker’s passion for creating something that will please the palates of all wine drinkers young or old.
