Ironman 3 Build Competition Invades Redondo Beach 4 Wheel Parts Store
Compton, California (PRWEB) July 18, 2014 -- Industry-leading retailer of aftermarket parts for off-roading, 4 Wheel Parts, will hold its annual Ironman 3 Competition on Saturday, July 19. The event features attractions for 4x4 enthusiasts at the Redondo Beach, California store, and the highlight will be an inside look at top off-road industry technicians going head-to-head in a build competition. Entertainment for the public includes giveaways, vehicles on display, food and drinks, and DJs playing music.
“The event is really focused on recognizing the expertise of the technicians and this is going to be the best year ever,” says Mark Allen, 4 Wheel Parts Director of Service Operations. Last year’s winner, Steve Hussmann from the Denver 4 Wheel Parts store is returning as a guest judge. “First off will be an axle build, and then three techs will move on to the other builds including suspension systems,” says Allen. The pool of seven mechanics are timed and penalties are assessed for missteps made.
The seven techs assembled from 4 Wheel Parts stores around the country will be treated to a trip to Las Vegas before the competition. There, they’ll take part in the Vegas Off Road Experience (VORE) featuring challenge race trucks. This Saturday in Redondo Beach, onsite vendors will offer Transamerican Manufacturing Group products from brands like Smittybilt and Pro Comp.
The third annual Ironman competition goes from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at 2500-B Marine Avenue, Redondo Beach, CA 90278. Last year, the Redondo Beach location became the first 4 Wheel Parts store to use the innovative Google Maps Business Photos feature. Users can remotely access the store via the Web to see showroom space and service bays.
