Is ‘Homegating’ the New Tailgating?
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 06, 2017 -- If you’re unfamiliar with the term “homegating,” it’s time to add it to your playbook. While tailgating is every sports fan’s favorite pastime, taking a trip to the stadium can really add up in terms of time, effort and money. The solution? Homegating. Trading the cold and the crowds for the comfort of home continues to be a growing trend with 60 percent of Americans now preferring to watch sports games from home. And recently, Elizabeth Heiskell, noted chef and author of the new cookbook, “What Can I Bring?”, teamed up with Farm Rich and YourUpdateTV to help plan the perfect homegate gathering.

One no-sweat game-day recipe is Tacky Tacky Meatballs, a simple, 3-ingredient dish that family and friends will love. All you need is a package of Farm Rich Meatballs, a jar of grape jelly and some chili sauce. Throw them in a slow cooker, let simmer about 3 hours and you’ve got yourself a new game day favorite.
Another fun dish is Sriracha Meatball & Sweet Potato Bites. They sound gourmet, but are really simple to make. All you need are some Farm Rich Meatballs, Sriracha, sweet potatoes and a few condiments.
Of course, it’s not game day without some libations. Try a Bourbon Slush – mix 2 cups of bourbon with 12 ounces of frozen lemonade concentrate, 6 ounces of frozen orange juice concentrate, 6 cups of hot tea and a cup of sugar. Put it in the blender and freeze until you are ready to use.
