Isabel Iris, Artie Hemphill & David Ross Win Top Prizes in the BEAT100 World Music Chart
(PRWEB) July 30, 2013 -- The BEAT100 World Music Video Chart compiled this week and once again users of the ever popular BEAT100 social networking site voted in their thousands to show their appreciation. Isabel Iris came in at number 1 with her brilliant cover of Avicii's, 'I Could Be The One'. The youngster from the Philippines is no stranger to her peers and no stranger to success on BEAT100 after being in the top 3 earlier in the year. The video, which received over two thousand votes, is great, the vocals are faultless and her ability on the guitar is impressive too. Receiving her $400 prize money, the rising young star spoke to BEAT100 News.
“I was delighted to win a prize the last time but this time it was more challenging because the original and cover charts are combined into one," says Isabel. "I'm both a fan and an artist on BEAT100. As a fan, I find the site very entertaining and friendly and as a young artist I will continue to pursue my goal of making good music. In fact I have written my first original song, 'A New Beginning'," explained Isabel, before adding, “I will grow old with BEAT100! I would like to thank God, my family, friends and supporters who have helped me fulfil my dreams. You are all a great inspiration! And to the BEAT100 team, thank you for giving me this opportunity to show my talent to the whole world!”
Coming in at number two, and winning $200, Salt Lake City's, Artie Hemphill, received just under 2,000 votes from fellow BEAT100 users for his cover of the Hunter Hayes classic song, 'Wanted'. Along with his band, 'The Iron Horse Band', they produced an excellent music video which was very well received on the BEAT100 network. As a band, they have wowed audiences performing live at a dizzying array of venues, including TV and radio appearances, numerous fairs, festivals and special events as well as opening for national artists such as Brad Paisley, John Michael Montgomery, Chris Cagle, Diamond Rio, Emerson Drive, Sawyer Brown, and Joe Diffie, just to name a few. Artie and the band were also voted the winners of the 2011 Stadium of Fire Talent Competition by a screaming crowd of over 46,000 attendees.
Third place in the BEAT100 World Music Video Charts, David Ross scooped the final cash prize of $100 for his outstanding rendition of 'Highway Don't Care' by Tim McGraw & Taylor Swift. Joined by Lauren Lyle the pair combined to produce a great version of the song which impressed everyone at BEAT100 HQ. Originally from eastern Pennsylvania, David has been living in Nashville, Tennessee where he has been recording and writing original music for the past 5 years. A singer, pianist, drummer, and guitarist, David enjoys listening to and playing a wide variety of genres. Some of his biggest influences include Elton John, Radiohead, and the works of producer Brian Eno. He is also the keyboardist for the pop/rock band Live By Satellite, while diligently pursuing a solo career. The video received well over a thousand votes from fellow musicians and music fans.
