ISG and Data Center Services To Merge; Strengthen Cloud Migration Consulting Capabilities
Reston, Virginia (PRWEB) October 03, 2017 -- Intelligence Systems Group (ISG) is a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in information technology services to the Intelligence Community, Government and commercial clients with offices in Northern Virginia and Pittsburgh, announced today that it has entered into a Letter of Intent with Data Center Services Inc., headquartered in Richmond, Virginia to combine the two organizations.
Data Center Services (DCS) specializes in technical expertise for government cloud migration and strategic advisors in the compliance process. Recently, DCS supported the first U.S. Army application to achieve pilot mode status for Department of Defense Level 5 compliance on the Microsoft Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS). Microsoft received DOD’s Level 5 Provisional Authority (PA) only in November 2016 and became an option for US Army cloud migration in January 2017.
“We are excited to bring the two companies together to assist our government clients as they migrate to the cloud. DCS has extensive experience, especially with the Dept. of Defense, in the key areas of Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA); Cloud Access Point (CAP) applications; systems accreditation and overall architecture design / migration project management.” stated Eric Hoffman, CEO of ISG.
Robert Hermanns, President of DCS, added, “By combining the talent of the two organizations, our government clients now have access to strategies and knowledgeable consultants that have implemented cloud strategies, at the highest security levels, including approval for Level 5 PaaS applications. With this deep experience, we can achieve migration in less time and provide substantial savings to government agencies. Our objective is not just to help our clients migrate to the cloud, but rather to help them leverage the benefits of the cloud including improved security compliance, improved operational efficiency, and a reduction in total cost of IT operations”
With AWS GovCloud earning DOD Cloud Security Model (CSM) Level 3-5 Provisional Authority, ISG also announced it has become a member of the Amazon Web Service Partner Network (APN) in order to provide clients with a choice of platform providers.
