Issues Facing Vets, Military Families Will Be Focus of Special Independence Day Show on Sirius XM
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 30, 2015 -- From homelessness and employment challenges to difficulties in buying or selling a home, veterans and military families face a host of problems that simply aren’t part of the equation for the average American.
To recognize these issues and the service veterans and military families give to their country, a very special edition of “The Jennifer Hammond Show” will air on Urban View, SiriusXM Channel 126, at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 4.
For this special Independence Day edition of her weekly show about making savvy real estate decisions, hostess Jennifer Hammond will be joined by the founders of AgentHero, a veteran-owned, national network of professional real estate agents, all of whom are veterans or military spouses themselves.
AgentHero’s co-founders, CEO Ken Robbins and COO Jason Dempsey, will discuss the challenges veterans and military families regularly face, including:
- Needing to sell a home quickly due to reassignment, often in less than ideal market conditions;
- Deciding whether to rent or sell;
- Relocating to a new market and finding both a new home and, in the case of a military spouse, a new job simultaneously;
- Determining where to live once military service ends.
Explaining that about half a million military families move every year, Robbins notes, “While AgentHero serves the entire real estate marketplace, our agents are all veterans or military spouses themselves and, as such, are uniquely positioned to understand and address the critical issues facing active duty and veteran populations.”
He continues, “Everyone associated with AgentHero is focused on improving the real estate industry by providing long-term housing solutions for those who not only need, but deserve a higher level of service, delivered by individuals who have been through similar experiences.”
Robbins adds that veterans and military spouses also regularly deal with employment challenges. “It’s often difficult for military spouses to establish their own careers when moving so frequently, or for veterans to find that first job after military service, despite the fact that data indicate they have both the skills and expertise to be highly marketable, highly valuable employees,” he explains. “The challenge is in breaking down the barriers to job market access and opening up pathways to opportunity.”
