ISTE 2015 to Bring Upwards of 18,000 Educators, 500 Ed Tech Companies to Philadelphia, June 28-July 1

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (PRWEB) June 23, 2015 -- Upwards of 18,000 educators and 500 ed tech companies from around the globe are coming to Philadelphia, June 28-July 1 for the world’s most comprehensive ed tech event, ISTE 2015. Attendees will enjoy world-class keynotes, hundreds of sessions in a variety of formats and a massive expo hall in the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Part idea incubator and part collaborative workspace, ISTE 2015 is the annual conference of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE®), the premier nonprofit organization serving educators and education leaders committed to empowering connected learners in a connected world.

Thirty-two unique ed tech start-up companies will showcase their innovative applications designed to transform learning and teaching in the Expo’s Start-Up Pavilion. Plus, 12 companies will compete in a three-round Ed Tech Start-Up Pitch Fest where a panel of designated judges and conference attendees will name the most promising ed tech start-up companies of ISTE 2015.

Ed Tech Start-Up Pitch Fest
The competing companies will each have five minutes to present a product idea that supports educational technology. Then they’ll have three minutes to answer questions from the judges. The judges and the voting audience will determine which two companies go on to the Pitch Fest final.

The companies that advance from the preliminary rounds will give five-minute presentations before a new panel of judges and audience members, who will chose the most innovative and the most likely to succeed ed tech startup companies of ISTE 2015.

  • Interactive Cases, Athens, Georgia: interactive cases that relate key science concepts to the real world
  • Mathspace, Strathfield New South Wales, Australia: an adaptive maths program that provides students with guided feedback not once a week, or once a day, but every step of the way
  • Mosa Mack Science, Brooklyn, NY: award-winning inquiry units that are engaging and easy to use
  • Propagate, Santa Monica, California: allows teachers to embed vocabulary instruction directly into anything a student is reading digitally - whether at home or for school
  • SE3D Education, Redwood City, California: provides 3D bioprinter hardware, professional development training and modular content to schools
  • Youth Digital Enterprise, Chapel Hill, North Carolina: online project-based technology courses for kids 8-14
  • Zyrobotics, Atlanta, Georgia: smart mobile technologies for accessible use and play
