ISTE 2016: Second Avenue Learning and BrainPOP® Offer Complimentary Voters Ed Trial with New Partnership
Rochester, N.Y. (PRWEB) June 27, 2016 -- Second Avenue Learning, a leader in the design and development of serious games for education, announces its partnership with BrainPOP®, a creator of award-winning educational animated movies, learning games, playful assessments, interactive quizzes and more. In this partnership, the companies seek to provide engaging content to educators teaching K-12 students about the election process.
“This partnership supports our initiative to innovate and improve education through interactive digital learning experiences,” said Victoria Van Voorhis, founder and CEO of Second Avenue Learning. “We’re targeting civics education specifically because students of all ages should have access to tools that develop citizenship skills and understand the electoral process.”
In this partnership, BrainPOP® will offer its users a free feature-limited trial of Second Avenue Learning’s Voters Ed program. A web application that supports whiteboards, computers and tablets, Voters Ed provides information on primaries and polls, prediction maps based on delegate counts, historical data and lesson plans. With the interactive tool, teachers will be able to engage students in the electoral process and upcoming presidential election.
"We're thrilled to play a role in bringing Voters Ed to a larger audience and teaching kids about the election process," said Allisyn Levy, Vice President of GameUp®, BrainPOP®'s online learning games portal. "We've been long-time fans of Second Avenue Learning, an organization that shares our dedication to creating quality digital resources for students and their teachers. We're confident that the pairing of our resources will help students become well-informed decision-makers in their communities and beyond.”
Both companies will be exhibiting at the ISTE 2016 Conference in Denver from June 27 to June 29. Learn more about their partnership and playful digital education resources at their booths: Second Avenue Learning (#1311), BrainPOP® (#2700).
