The countdown is on until the second annual Dallas Bike Ride, an urban bike ride on closed roads throughout the heart of Dallas on Saturday, November 3. A portion of proceeds from the event benefit local non-profit BikeDFW. Late registration will be available at the Packet Pickup Party at West Village (3699 McKinney Avenue) on November 1 and 2.

Back by popular demand after thousands of riders joined in 2017, participants will experience breathtaking views of Dallas and its iconic sites on closed roads throughout the fall morning. People of all cycling experience levels are encouraged to participate, including children, making it the perfect opportunity for families to spend an active morning together. With two different course distances of 20 miles and 10 miles and bike rentals available, the experience is open to novices and experts, as well as Dallas residents and tourists, alike.

Participants will again end their journey at the Methodist Dallas Finish Festival, located at the start/finish line of the Dallas Bike Ride in heart of the city at City Hall Plaza (1500 Marilla St.). The Methodist Dallas Finish Festival will include activities for both participants and spectators of all ages. It will be headlined by local Texan favorite and Dallas party band “Lonestar Attitude,” preceded- by DJ 2Day to keep the party and celebrations rocking all morning.

“The route is planned, the bikes are ready to go, and the entertainment is excited to perform – the 2018 Dallas Bike Ride promises to be the premier bike ride and tour of Dallas,” said Greg Bibb, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Sports Ventures. “It’s hard to explain the magic of the Dallas Bike Ride until you’ve felt the ground beneath your pedals and experienced the Dallas skyline early in the morning, absent of car traffic. We hope you and your family join us this November for what’s sure to be your most meaningful way to spend a Saturday this fall.”

Dallas-area residents should expect road closures from 7:45 a.m. to 12pm around downtown. For more information on road closures, please visit dallasbikeride.com/road-closures.
