Italian Company Bosca at Unesco International Events Dedicated to the Light
Paris, France (PRWEB) January 24, 2015 -- Bosca, one of the symbols of Italian excellence, proves again its international orientation. As part of the Unesco events for the international Year of Light, the Italian company, known around the world for its spumante, attended the opening ceremony as a patron.
Following the prestigious Unesco World Heritage nomination, which emphasizes the uniqueness and exceptionality of these cellars based in Piedmont (North of Italy), Bosca brings tradition, experience and innovative capabilities to the International Year of Light.
Starting with the greetings of Ban Ki Moon, the opening ceremony took place last Monday at the Unesco headquarters. The event gathered around a thousand participants, including renowned international scientists, industrialists, high officials, decision-makers, and young promises working in the field of research.
After these days, a series of conferences will promote the central role of light and its applications in our lives, especially with regard to future developments of our planet.
The IYL2015 initiative, supported by scientific organizations around the world, will celebrate the light as the heritage of all, the fundamental basis of our lives.
"The light has always been an essential element in our production process. It is thanks to the sunlight that our grapes ripen and produce bunches of gold, the treasure that has enabled us to pass the tradition of spumante onto the producers for six generations," says Pia Bosca, company CEO. "For the production of our precious hand made spumante we have been using the light since our establishment. The candles are the source of light utilized in the production of the Riserva del Nonno, our traditional method spumante. The cellarmen cannot do without their candle to masterfully turn yeasts into bubbles of perfection."
Bosca uses light to power its production facilities: every fourth bottle is produced due to sunlight. In order to develop solutions that will lead to a more sustainable future, Bosca searches every day for cutting-edge lighting technologies, designed to ensure product quality and continuity of its traditions.
