iti Direct Mail Now Offering Mail Tracing Services
Pasadena, CA (PRWEB) November 21, 2014 -- Representatives with iti Direct Mail announced today that it is now offering its customers mail tracing services.
“Our tracing services will show you the progression of your mail pieces as they travel through the US Postal system,” said Alan Barseghian, marketing director of iti Direct Mail, whose specialty product is printing mail merged letters with personalized appearing envelopes that do not look like junk mail. “Our tracing services will show when every mail piece initially entered the postal system, the locations the mail piece was scanned at, and the date when the mail piece was out for delivery. Only ‘presort’ mail can be traced; that is first class presort, standard presort and nonprofit presort. Regular first class mail cannot be traced. Your presort mail is traceable regardless if it has a live peel and stick postage stamp, postage meter, or indicia.’”
Barseghian explained that his company’s mail from all of its customers is co-mingled before given to the post office, which in turn affects the tracing results for Standard and Nonprofit class mails.
Iti Direct Mail (letterprinting.net), according to Barseghian, does not, however, hand over these two classes of mail to USPS immediately.
These two classes of mail, he pointed out, are sorted and segregated and are shipped using a private carrier to a USPS sorting facility nearest to its final destination.
“This method usually reduces the delivery time compared if USPS was solely used,” Barseghian stressed, before adding, “To simplify this concept, think of us and the private truck carriers doing 75 percent of the initial work and the USPS doing the last 25 percent of the work which is the last sorting facility and the final delivery by the postal carriers. This means that no mail pieces are scanned (your tracing report will show nothing has been mailed) for the initial days (up to eight or nine days depending upon destination) until the mail is given to the nearest USPS sorting facility before it goes out for delivery.”
The company spokesman went on to note that after customers’ mail piece have been mailed, iti Direct Mail will supply customers with a link that will take them directly to the page that has all the tracing information and reports for their particular order.
“A unique link is given to you for every order mailed,” Barseghian said. “This link is placed as a comment in your order; the same area where you upload your files and send us messages.”
