JailInmate.org Releases Guide to Not Getting Scammed by a Former Inmate
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) November 22, 2013 -- JailInmate.org is set to launch a guide to help the public avoid being scammed by former jail and prison inmates, the company announced yesterday.
“Whenever you deal with a former inmate, there is a good chance that you might get scammed,” a JailInmate.org spokesman said. “The truth is that many of these people learn how to scam people while they are behind bars. So, when they get out they can be a real financial danger to the people they deal with.”
The report will outline the various ways many people have been scammed by former inmates, he said.
“Then we'll go step by step through what those people could have done to avoid getting scammed in the first place,” the JailInmate.org spokesman said. “It's easy to avoid getting scammed if you know what to look out for.”
JailInmate.org said they wanted to make it clear that not every former inmate is trying to run a scam.
“Some people do get rehabilitated behind bars,” the JailInmate.or spokesman said. “But people who trust every inmate will be at a great risk of getting scammed.”
The report is set to be published on the members' area of the JailInmate.org site, he said.
“If it is successful there and we hear from people that it helped avoid them getting scammed, then we will release it through social media and our blog,” he said. “This is all about doing what we can to protect the public.”
