James Earl Jones Hosts a New "Behind The Scenes" Piece on Collegiate History Programs for Public Television
(PRWEB) July 29, 2016 -- “Behind the Scenes,” with host James Earl Jones, will shortly distribute a segment on collegiate history programs.
Whether a college student is attending school to pursue a history degree or he or she is just taking some courses as part of a core requirement or as an elective, the content and variety of classes offered has been a subject of considerable discussion in academic circles. It is axiomatic that a precise knowledge of the past informs our understanding of the present and helps us anticipate the future. History on a college level consists of more than a dry recitation of facts, dates, and important personages. College students are often called on to understand why things happened the way they did, what effects those events had, and what people in the past felt about it. Students also are asked to study how ordinary people lived in cultures that existed hundreds of years ago.
This new segment of the popular series will feature professors and historians, as well as students who are currently attending college.
“Behind the Scenes,” hosted by James Earl Jones, is produced and made available for public television. The series is not affiliated either with PBS or APT, however. “Behind the Scenes” is supported by an experienced, award-winning team of producers, writers, and videographers.
