His 1970 release, Sweet Baby James, was his first album to be certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America three times for selling more than three million copies. In 1977, his album JT also reached 3x platinum status. He also had other platinum and gold albums, but these two were his best selling studio releases. In 1976, he released his first compilation, Greatest Hits, which was certified diamond for selling more than 10 million copies.
When Taylor takes the stage during his shows, he will be playing all his songs that made him famous at the start of his career and will also play many of the songs that helped him resurrect his career in the 1990s. He is a talented musician that takes pride in his work and enjoys playing for the live crowd.
