Jameson Health System Selects Dolbey’s Fusion CAC, Computer-Assisted Coding with the Help of Alpha Systems
Huntingdon Valley, PA (PRWEB) May 04, 2014 -- Jameson Hospital, a 250-bed facility located in New Castle, PA, has selected Dolbey’s Fusion CAC™, Computer-Assisted Coding, to help combat ICD-10. The hospital, which is part of Jameson Health System, is taking a proactive approach to the inevitable productivity decrease that organizations may suffer with I-10 compliance. Nikki Walker, Director of Revenue Management, said, “We are hearing the decrease could be as much as 50% and we want to do our best to keep production at the highest level possible.”
Jameson evaluated different CAC vendors and ultimately made the decision to go with Alpha Systems and Dolbey because their solution offered ‘the whole package’. Walker participated in several product demonstrations with Dolbey. “Fusion CAC had everything we needed, Medical Necessity edits, coding clinics and so much more. We also were in need of a new encoder so overall, it was the best decision to go with Dolbey,” she said.
The hospital plans to go live with CAC by early June. With the ability to do front-end scrubbing, CAC will help reduce back-end work and will allow Jameson to streamline their processes to be more efficient and get bills out quicker.
“I can’t say enough good things about the Dolbey team. We have a wonderful product representative and project manager that are willing to go out of their way to meet our needs. Our test system is nearing completion and from what I have seen so far the system is very user-friendly. We are getting very excited to go live,” said Walker.
