Middletown, OH (PRWEB) February 25, 2015 -- A Kansas State University graduate, Jamie did not really know what she wanted to be when she “grew up.” She was the first generation of her family to pursue an education beyond high school and had a very limited view of the types of careers there were out there. “I knew that I wanted to work with people and make a difference in their lives,” says Bosse. “I discovered the field of Financial Planning when I was a sophomore and remember thinking that I was the perfect fit!”
Initially starting her career in Portland, OR, Jamie returned to Kansas to be closer to family and friends and there continued connections with those in her age group experiencing lifestyle changes such as building homes, expanding their families, promotions at work and having more disposable income. She has enjoyed being able to help these “peers” with their financial planning and investment questions and concerns. “Some common themes among the clients that I have worked with are: hoping for a secure retirement; protecting their families in the event of disaster, disability, or death; seeing their children grow up to be successful; and, of course, managing their tax situation,” says Bosse.
To promote her professional career, Jamie writes for industry focused magazines and blogs. She understands the importance of designations, acquiring the RFA designation while still a student at Kansas State. This helped boost her resume and set her apart from other job candidates. She advises newly graduated professionals to network, network, network – and to explore all the options open to financial professionals. For her own career, continuing education will be significant part in the next 5 years and beyond.
“Jamie is a great example of how competing in our National Financial Plan Competition can give a student an edge when starting in our business,” comments Ed Morrow, IARFC Chairman and CEO. “She valued the RFA designation, networked with professionals and learned from seasoned consultants.”
Pursuing her career, Jamie has gone through several life changes – marriage, having children and moving across the country. “I have found that it is important to work for a company that truly values its employees and wants them to be successful in the office and in their personal life,” relates Jamie. “I feel fortunate to be a part of an organization that sincerely supports the needs and desires of the employees.” To illustrate this philosophy, KHC Wealth Management has a motto when working with clients and their employees of - “Making Life Count®”, which translates to living well today, while planning for your future.
