Janet Penney Inspires Readers to Overcome Adversity in New Book
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (PRWEB) December 21, 2013 -- In “Journey through Jerusalem with No Hands: One Woman’s Travel toward Holistic Healing” (published by WestBow Press), author Janet Penney shares a concentrated snapshot of two years of her life with seemingly insurmountable struggles, including playing the piano with two broken wrists.
“The events of two years of my life are a testimony that will inspire others to follow the passion of God in their own lives,” testifies Penney.
In the weeks leading up to an all-expenses-paid trip to Israel, Penney was in a terrible accident and shattered both her wrists. Though contracted to sing and the play the piano, Penney’s faith pushed her forward to go to Israel where she embarked on an epic journey through Jerusalem without the use of her hands.
When she returned to the United States, Penney was diagnosed with an aggressive, rare lung cancer and given less than two years to live. With faith in God, she survived the cancer, yet plummeted into depression. Her faith pulled her up out of the pit of despair and learned to live fully again.
“My story is written in layers of details of true heart emotional and physical healing,” writes Penney, who passionately describes her book her masterpiece, her Mona Lisa. “It is truth.”
