January Transfer Window to break all records at football.co.uk
(PRWEB UK) 29 January 2014 -- January Transfer deadline day to break all records for traffic say Football.co.uk and potentially all records for Premier League spending, if rumours are to be believed.
Chelsea and Manchester United seem to be the main clubs doing business with United smashing there own transfer fee record with the acquisition of Juan Mata. With one of the closest and most surprising seasons in years, clubs not usually known for doing deals in January could well spend huge money for players that could either win the Premier League title or earn them Champions League football. Fans are desperate to see the ambitions of the club they support match their own and are flocking in record numbers to football.co.uk for news and rumours concerning new stars coming to their club.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say: “We haven’t seen anything like it, obviously transfer windows throw up a frenzy of activity on transfer rumour sites such as football.co.uk with fans eager for the latest gossip. The relative league positions of big teams like Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal has created the perfect transfer storm in that certainly two of the teams have a strong chance to win the League and the other is in real danger of losing Champions League football. Some of the biggest names in World football are in the frame to move in January such as Diego Costa and Draxler. Even Messi may be subject to a cheeky bid from PSG to test the transfer clause figure keeping him at Barcelona which tells you how crazy this last week and ‘Transfer Deadline Day’ itself will be! Traffic has been record-breaking along with the transfer fees, with no shortage of rumours, gossip and solid news regarding the movement of big name players to new clubs.”
Jason Hope, Content Manager of DSG believes that this January will not be a let down like previous years. “Obviously clubs are keen to underplay their interest in making transfers this January so as not to alert other teams and end up in a bidding war or having their dealings scuppered by rivals. It is however very difficult to remain completely under the radar and there are some interesting names very much in the spotlight as we move through the final week of the window. ”
