Jason of Beverly Hills Creates Necklace Inspired By Pretty Woman Classic
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 28, 2015 -- Famed jewelry designer Jason Arasheben, CEO Jason of Beverly Hills, was commissioned for the 25th anniversary of the movie, Pretty Woman, to create a piece inspired by the classic necklace worn in the film.
The “Lady in Red” necklace is valued at $500,000 and is on display at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, in Beverly Hills.
351 round brilliant white diamonds and 27 natural Rubelites were meticulously set onto 83 grams of 18karat white gold. With a total carat weight of 43.20 carats of white diamonds and over 105 carats of Rubelite, it took nearly six months to produce this masterpiece. Each stone was carefully hand selected for its optimal brilliance and quality, and the necklace was assembled by hand in the movie’s celebrated hometown of Los Angeles.
"As a child growing up watching the movie, I have always been mesmerized by the romanticism Beverly Hills has to offer. I jumped at the opportunity to recreate this iconic necklace, because it represents a piece of cinema history in the very city I hold dear to my heart,” said Arasheben.
The necklace is currently on display at Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, as part of the hotel’s selection of Pretty Woman-themed experiences. Arasheben partnered with the hotel to offer guests the opportunity to re-live moments and view some of the film’s memorabilia in the very same hotel that the movie was filmed.
