Palace of Mention: (2 males/3 females) Surrealist play: A banker named Neil Armstrong who is an avid golfer finds himself dead and on a never ending golf course from which he cannot escape. He encounters his own father and pet golden retriever from his childhood, only now they exist in the form of the iconic feminists, Betty Friedan and Gloria Steinem.
The Sheltered Workshop: (6 males/2 females) farce: A Government Arts funding body accidently wires 600 grand to the wrong performance company and has less than 24 hours to retrieve the money before Prince Charles and a retinue of dignitaries show up for an awards ceremony to inaugurate a new cultural partnership.
Better Than death: (3 males/4 females) Drama: A Master of the Universe from the corporate world resisting the changing societal values as expressed by his sisters, wife and children is forced to confront his own mortality in facing the death of his mother and then taking charge in the care of his nephew, a fey, spoilt teenager who has been bullied by his uncle his entire life.
