Jerome Karam Attorney to Invest in 20 Acres of Land after settlement with the University General Health Systems Alvin Hospital
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) October 23, 2013 -- Jerome Karam, a Personal Injury and Business Litigation lawyer practicing out of Friendswood, Texas, has announced he will invest 20 acres of land towards the construction of a new acute care hospital in Alvin, Texas. The hospital, which is being developed by integrated multi-specialty health care provider University General Health System (UGH), will reside on the east side of Highway 35 north of FM 528 – an approximately 30 minute drive from UGH’s flagship hospital.
In addition to the 20 centrally located acres provided by Palicio Gate and owned by Karam, the campus will also offer an additional 50 lots. These lots will be primarily used for retail and office space and will be marketed immediately with 11 lots fronting Hwy 35 according to Karam, the owner of the land.
The hospital is expected to be developed in three phases, with the first stage consisting of a small emergency room, imaging center and hospital. Subsequent phases will add operating rooms, an ICU ward and possibly more beds, market conditions pending.
Karam, who is also the President and owner of Palicio Gate LP, has expressed his enthusiasm regarding the new hospital stating, “I am very excited for the community that after many years of hard work we have developed a great team to develop a hospital in Alvin.” Jerome went on to state that development of the new hospital will begin in early 2014.
The partnership between Palicio Gate LP and UGH has not been devoid of difficulties. After agreeing to build a new hospital in Alvin, it is back on track. UGH and Palicio Gate have continued negotiations to build a hospital in Alvin.
