“We are fortunate to bring someone of Jerry’s caliber to our team,” said CADV Executive Director Sandy Oliva. “Our focus for the future is to build the new Safe Center in to the best facility of its kind in the country and Jerry will be a big contributor to that effort.”
Algozer began his career in development as a volunteer during the early years of the HIV/AIDS crisis. He co-founded an organization called Helping People with AIDS, and later held development positions with the AIDS Institute of NY, and HIV/AIDS service organizations in New York, New England and Florida.
A resident of Port Washington, NY, he comes to The Safe Center LI following a stint in Fort Lauderdale, FL as Vice President of Marketing and Development at Broward House; the largest and oldest HIV/AIDS service organization in Broward County.
