Jessup Manufacturing Company Celebrates 60 Years of Innovation and Growth
McHenry, Ill. (PRWEB) September 24, 2016 -- Jessup Manufacturing Company has announced its 60th anniversary as an Illinois-based manufacturer. The company was honored this week by Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner, City of McHenry Mayor Susan E. Low, and Village Green Oaks President Bernard Wysocki.
“Jessup Manufacturing Company is an extraordinary example of what it means to be a global manufacturer, providing exceptional products and services to customers,” Governor Rauner wrote in a letter to Robert A. Jessup, President and Chief Executive Officer. Governor Rauner also cited how Jessup’s product development and engineering expertise is recognized around the world for quality and precision.
“In 1956, Jessup Manufacturing Company was founded by my grandparents with one machine in a two-car garage making leather welts for baseball gloves. Today Jessup is a leader in adhesive coated films made on state-of-the-art coating equipment,” said Rob Jessup.
City of McHenry Mayor Susan E. Low read a proclamation at the city council meeting Monday, September 19 establishing Jessup Manufacturing Company Day on Saturday, September 24. Among other distinctions, the proclamation states “The City of McHenry wishes to recognize the many contributions Jessup Manufacturing Company has provided to its citizens.” Jessup Manufacturing Company has also been honored by a proclamation issued by the Village of Green Oaks.
