Jesus Says Tees – Redefining Christian T-Shirts
Flowery Branch, GA (PRWEB) December 23, 2015 -- Jesus Says Tees is a line of ten t-shirt designs featuring the Biblical words of Jesus. The shirts are the creation of Mike McDaniel, homeschool dad and experienced graphic designer, and his assistant, Jessica Lewis, graduated homeschooler, drummer and music student. “We wanted to create a line of t-shirts for Christians that go a little deeper than a random inspirational phrase or a modified pop-culture reference. Focusing on the words of Jesus seemed like a natural approach,” says McDaniel. After spending a lot of time on research and consideration of which passages resonate most with people and have strong impact, ten verses were singled out to create the launch lineup.
Several rounds of prototypes followed to ensure that all the designs were clear and had visual impact, while remaining true to the words of Jesus. The text used for the designs was the World English, chosen because it is available in the Public Domain and offers a modern English translation of the American Standard Version of 1901. This was considered ideal for shirts targeted to a modern audience.
Mike and Jessica are both every excited to be launching the Jesus Says t-shirt line, and have made the decision to take the project to Kickstarter to obtain the funds necessary to produce the first run of shirts. Kickstarter campaigns operate under an all-or-nothing funding model, so Jesus Says Tees needs to raise $1,000 within 30 days to be funded and produced. Donors who pledge $15 + $5 for shipping will receive one of the first Jesus Says tees to be produced, in their choice of design and one of eight colors.
