Jim Dorsey Awarded Contract to Print T-Shirts for the 30th Anniversary of the Burbank Farmer's Market
(PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- Jim Dorsey, National Sales Manager for Coastal Printworks, Inc. in North Hollywood, CA was awarded the contract to print the tee shirts for the 30th anniversary of the Burbank Farmer's Market (BFM). One of the oldest, and one of the few non-profit farmers' markets in Southern California, the BFM, has been in continuous operation since 1983.
As a non-profit farmer's market part of the proceeds raised at the weekly (Saturday's) market support the Providence St. Joseph Hospital Foundation which provides medical care to thousands of persons a year who cannot afford health care treatment. This longstanding alliance between a farmer's market and a non-profit organization is unique among farmers markets.
Jim's involvement with the market as a regular Saturday shopper not only puts him in touch with the dozens of vendors (there are roughly 32 vendors) working the market but also with the on-site managers. This friendly week-to-week connection is what convinced the management to award Jim and Coastal Printworks the contract to print the shirts for this most auspicious event.
Of the 150 shirts printed for the 30th anniversary dozens were distributed to all of the vendors as well as to market staff and the Providence St. Joseph Hospital Foundation. The remaining shirts were sold for a modest profit. In keeping with Jim's 25 years of working with dozens of non-profits nationwide, pricing for the BFM 30th tee shirts was kept very fair.
The Burbank Farmer's Market, with the support of the Providence St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, along with Coastal Printworks high quality printed tee shirts once again proves the power of wearable messaging and social awareness that tee shirts can bring to any event and to all of us.
