JoBlo.com Launches New Movie-themed Photo Shoots with Sandra Vergara as Its First Model
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 09, 2014 -- JoBlo.com, one of the Internet’s original movie fansites, established in 1998, has now expanded its corporate umbrella to include movie-themed photo shoots featuring up-and-coming actresses and models dressed up like characters from popular, mostly “fanboy”, movies, under their MovieHotties brand.
The site’s inaugural pictorial features model/actress Sandra Vergara dressed up like a character straight out of the “300” movie franchise. Sofia Vergara’s younger cousin was elated when approached by JoBlo.com’s MovieHotties brand and had a great time during their first shoot: “I’ve always been a fan of both JoBlo.com and MovieHotties, and was very happy with the overall shoot and interaction with the boys. They may come off as fanboys on their site, but believe me when I tell you that these guys are professionals. I had a blast!”
Berge Garabedian, CEO and founder of JoBlo.com, had been dreaming about this possibility for years as the popularity of their MovieHotties brand continued to grow: “We started interviewing young starlets on the site in January 2013, getting to know them a little more personally, and it was a great success. Within months, we had reps contacting us for their clients to appear on our site, so the transition to actual photo shoots was very organic.”
Garabedian adds: “For each photo shoot, we will invite the model to choose a favorite character of hers from a fanboy flick, and we will do our best to recreate that film’s appeal via our photos. Each shoot will also include a behind-the-scenes video of the actual production a few weeks after the pictorial is published to the site, as well as an interview. In the end, our site has always been about the fans and we are hoping that these photo shoots become as popular as our photo galleries, celebrity interviews and our annual Top 25 Hotties of the Year list.”
The “300”-themed photo spread featuring Sandra Vergara can be found on their site today, while the behind-the-scenes video will appear on their YouTube channel in a few weeks’ time.
