Johnson Outdoors Watercraft to Showcase New Old Town and Ocean Kayak Fishing Boats at ICAST, Complete with On-Water Demos
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) July 06, 2015 -- Johnson Outdoors Watercraft (JOW) will unveil new products alongside updated models at ICAST booth #943. Many of their watercraft will also be featured at ICAST’s on-water demos to be held July 14th at Lake Toho in Kissimmee, FL. There, attendees can see and paddle JOW’s newest and most popular Old Town and Ocean Kayak angling models.
JOW has expanded their fleet with the new Old Town Loon Angler, which is an evolution of Old Town’s original Loon that made its debut 20 years ago. The 2015 model is a sit-inside fishing kayak for anglers who want the comfort and shelter from the elements that the Loon Angler provides. Old Town outfitted this boat with a revolutionary work deck that features built-in storage compartments and a USB port to keep phones, action cameras and other electronics charged.
Old Town engineered the Loon Angler with extra width and volume for optimum stability and roominess. Together with the advanced ACS2 seating system, this is one of the most comfortable fishing boats on the water. Built-in rod holders and gear tie-downs are just where anglers need them for efficiency and success on the water. With a maximum capacity up to 400 pounds, the new Loon Angler fits a wide range of anglers and fishing adventures.
Another innovative, must-see JOW watercraft at ICAST is the Old Town Predator XL, which won both the BEST BOAT and BEST IN SHOW Awards at last year’s ICAST. The Predator XL features an integrated Minn Kota electric trolling motor console that gives anglers more access to hot spots and precise, hands-free boat control while fishing. Regarded as “the ultimate fishing machine,” the Predator XL is extremely popular among anglers who own it as their only boat, and also for fishermen who own large fishing boats but want access to remote waters that don’t have boat ramps and don’t receive a lot of fishing pressure.
Also at the on-water demo, visitors can try out the Ocean Kayak Trident 15. This model was re-introduced for 2015 after Ocean Kayak collaborated with their Pro Staff anglers and dealers to update the popular model. It’s a large, fast, sit-on-top fishing kayak that’s ideal for tackling saltwater big game. Additional ICAST demo boats include Old Town’s Predator 13, Predator MX, and the NEXT – which is a solo canoe/kayak crossover that’s lightweight, comfortable and easy to paddle.
The majority of the on-water demo boats will be featured at JOW’s booth (#943) during the ICAST exhibition, along with complimentary accessories that include lightweight Carlisle paddles and innovative Extrasport PDFs.
