The 1st annual scientific conference, the Metabolomics International Conference, which was organized during February 20-22, 2012 (Metabolomics-2012) in San Francisco, CA, was a great success with the active participation and contribution of researchers and policy makers from the Pharmaceutical, Government sectors, and Principal Investigators of the US FDA, NCI, and NIH, along with the Editorial Board Members of OMICS Group. Metabolomics-2012 was supported by Agilent Technologies, Montague Health Care, BIOCRATES Life Sciences AG and Waters Corporation. Plenary presentations from Prof. Michael Snyder, Stanford University, USA; Dr. Russel J Reiter, University of Texas Health Science Center, USA; Dr. Mukesh Verma, National Cancer Institute, USA; Dr. Chryssostomos Chatgilialoglu, National Research Council, Italy; Dr. Zhongming Zhao, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, USA and Dr. Babu Guda, University of Nebraska Medical Center, USA were very prolific to the scientific community.
The 2nd annual Metabolomics International Conference was held during April 8-10, 2013 (Metabolomics-2013) in Chicago, IL and had a tremendous response from Metabolomics researchers, and Principal Investigators from the NIH, NASA, US FDA, and US Army. Keynote Speakers at this meeting included: Dr. John Ryals, Metabolon Inc., USA; Dr. Chris Beecher, NextGen Metabolomics, USA; Dr. Mukesh Verma, National Institutes of Health, USA; Dr. Paul L. Wood, Lincoln Memorial University, USA; Dr. Christoph H Borchers, University of Victoria, Canada and Dr. Jeffrey S Patrick, LECO Corporation, USA. A workshop titled “NASA Omics”, moderated by Dr. Viktor Stolc; NASA Ames Research Center, USA was an added attraction that deliberated the novel approaches in Space Biology Research. BIOCRATES Life Sciences AG, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Waters Corporation, Isosciences, ABSciex and Cambridge Isotope Laboratories acted as key supporters of Metabolomics-2013.
