Join ACCC for Operation Money Wise at Worcester State University
Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 13, 2016 -- National nonprofit American Consumer Credit Counseling presents Operation Money Wise, a free, one-day financial education workshop for the Military, Veteran, Family and Survivor Community. The event will be held at Worcester State University on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Operation Money Wise Project was funded in part by the Massachusetts Economic Empowerment Trust Fund through the Massachusetts State Treasurer’s Office of Economic empowerment.
“The Military, Veteran, Family & Survivor Community faces unique financial situations, which can create challenges other consumers often don’t have to deal with,” said Steve Trumble, President and CEO of American Consumer Credit Counseling, which is located in Newton, MA. “As experts in money management, financial education and budgeting, ACCC is pleased to have the opportunity to help the Military, Veteran, Family and Survivor Community manage these unique challenges through proper financial education.”
Operation Money Wise will offer several breakout sessions for attendees, on topics including VA Benefits, Financial Planning, Budget & Credit Management, and First Time Home Buyers. Several certified financial counselors and financial planners will be onsite during the event. There will also be resources and educational materials available for attendees, so they can become equipped with as much information and knowledge as possible to make better financial decisions.
