WHAT: More than 2,000 community supporters will lace up for the 30th annual New Orleans UNCF (United Negro College Fund) Walk for Education on Saturday, Oct. 14th. Held at Audubon Park Riverview. This year’s event is a celebration of education that will bring together thousands of community supporters to raise essential funds to assist deserving students get a college education and UNCF’s member schools Dillard and Xavier Universities. WWL-TV’s Thanh Truong and Natalie Shepherd will serve as emcees for a day full of fun, including kids’ activities, health screenings, food and entertainment.
