He was able to use his experiences to frankly explain what all financial advisors now recognize - that the ethical sales of financial products and the delivery of competent advice is a noble calling. Loren Dunton was a man of vision who cared deeply about both financial advisors and consumers.
To honor his legacy, a bust of Loren Dunton was created and bronze reproductions presented to deserving individuals who have made a significant impact on the profession and the financial welfare of the public. “By awarding Jon Rogers the Loren Dunton Award this year, we acknowledge his longtime dedication to excellence and service in our industry,” commented Steve Bailey, IARFC Chairman and Dunton Award Committee Chair. “His commitment to financial education and practice management prepares the next generation of financial professionals to be successful.”
Rogers has more than 40 years of experience in financial investment with a Ph.D. in financial management. With quantifications in asset management, Jon specializes in the development of financial plans with major emphasis on wealth accumulation, retirement planning, investment planning and estate planning. As an Adjunct Professor at Webster University and North Greenville University, he teaches finance, marketing and business. Currently he serves on the Board of Directors of the IARFC and holds the office of Treasurer. Jon is participating in the Accreditation process for the MRFC designation as a Subject Matter Expert helping to developing questions for the exam. He is associated with Royal Alliance Associates who have been corporate sponsors for the National Financial Plan Competition.
In bestowing the Loren Dunton Memorial Award, the IARFC recognizes Rogers contribution to Loren Dunton’s vision and his mission to help the public and their advisors. “We feel this is a tribute to Jon’s vision and participation in the Financial Services Industry,” says IARFC CEO, Ed Morrow. “And we congratulate him on receiving this honorable award.” A formal presentation will be scheduled in the near future.
