Joseph Levinson, New Executive Director of Food Four Life, to Announce Plans to Fight Hunger in Africa
Durban, South Africa (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- Joe Levinson, the newly appointed Executive Director of Food Four Life, will soon announce new initiatives by the charity to fight hunger in Africa.
The plans are to be announced as food banks across Africa are struggling to keep up with demand from refugees who have been displaced by ongoing conflict in sub-Saharan Africa. The charity, now led by Levinson, also plans to implement new projects to work with governments, food manufacturers, and other corporations to reduce hunger across the continent.
Speaking from a meeting in Durban, South Africa, Levinson stated, “Increasingly, we see opportunities to use our outreach to solve challenges on the continent. By working together with the major stakeholders, we believe that we can reach a day in the not so distant future where no individual on the continent has to go to bed hungry.”
Levinson continued, “As we move forward in 2014, we will be announcing several practical new initiatives to fight hunger. These plans should help our organization achieve its objectives, in accordance with the responsibilities that our Board of Trustees has given me.”
Joseph Levinson’s career began in public accounting in the mid-90s, and he went on to China and served in several executive positions in Chinese companies. Levinson received his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
