Josh Liebman and Adam Waskowski Elevated to Partners at Novack and Macey LLP
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) January 27, 2014 -- Attorneys Joshua E. Liebman and Adam T. Waskowski have been elevated to partners at Novack and Macey LLP, a business and commercial litigation firm based in Chicago, Illinois.
Josh Liebman joined the firm in 2007. His practice is concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation, intellectual property and professional negligence defense. Josh handles a wide range of commercial cases typically involving business based contractual disputes and business torts. He has represented clients in breach of contract, trademark infringement and trade secret misappropriation cases as well as various regulatory matters.
Josh also has worked closely with both employers and employees on issues related to post-employment restrictive covenants including non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality provisions.
Josh graduated from Tulane University, New Orleans, in 1998 and from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Magna cum Laude, in 2004. While attending law school, Josh served as the Research Editor of the Loyola University Law Journal and was named best respondent in the 2003 Niagara International Moot Court Competition.
Josh was selected by the Super Lawyer’s list as an Illinois Rising Star in 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2014. He is a member of the Chicago and the American Bar Associations. Josh serves on the Jewish Council for Youth Services’ Board of Directors for which he sits on the Finance Committee. Josh grew up in Evanston, Illinois, and currently lives in Chicago with his wife Beata and their son.
Adam Waskowski joined Novack and Macey in 2007. He represents clients in cases involving malpractice by accountants, lawyers and other professionals; manufacturer and distributor disputes; real estate issues; contract claims; alcoholic beverage industry issues and other business disputes. He is a member of the Trial Bar for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has tried several cases and maintains a heavy caseload in courts throughout Illinois and the United States.
Adam graduated from Northwestern University in 2000 and from Northwestern University School of Law in 2004. He was the Note and Comment Editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology. In 2012, 2013 and 2014, Super Lawyers selected Adam as an Illinois Rising Star, an honor given to fewer than 2.5 percent of all Illinois lawyers.
Adam is a founding member of the Northwestern University School of Law’s Chicago Alumni Club, and served on the Metro Board for Metropolitan Family Services for many years. Before becoming a lawyer, Adam worked as U.S. Senator Russell Feingold’s Deputy Press Secretary, as a local newspaper reporter, in the hotel and restaurant industries, and as a factory worker. His experience helps him to understand his clients’ businesses and give practical advice regarding the risks and benefits of business litigation.
Adam grew up outside of Madison, Wisconsin, and he now lives in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago with his wife Lori.
