Joslin Diabetes Center, Affiliate at Raritan Bay Medical Center Celebrates Opening of New Office in Old Bridge
Old Bridge, NJ (PRWEB) June 24, 2015 -- The Joslin Diabetes Center, Affiliate at Raritan Bay Medical Center celebrated the opening of its new office location in the Medical and Surgical Pavilion at the medical center’s Old Bridge location in June. This unique new office, located at 2 Hospital Plaza, includes dedicated space to expand patient education programming as well as a demonstration kitchen where the center’s registered dietitian and area chefs will share techniques to make delicious meals and snacks that are also healthy and diabetic-friendly.
Raritan Bay Medical Center (RBMC) became an affiliate of the world’s preeminent diabetes research and clinical care organization the Joslin Diabetes Center in 2014 and provides some of the latest advances for treating diabetes and its complications as well as patient education and support services. The diabetes center’s team, Medical Director Reema Patel, MD, and Dragana Jokic, MD, both board certified in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism and Internal Medicine, a registered dietitian, nurse educator and other medical and support professionals provide comprehensive services. The American Diabetes Association has recognized the Joslin Diabetes Center, Affiliate at RBMC with the prestigious Education Recognition Certificate which recognizes high-quality diabetes self-management education programs.
